The free Adobe Acrobat Reader app used for the exercise PDFs may show pop-ups, so we recommend that a parent stays nearby when children draw or color in the app.

Families can choose how they use the bundle and how much they practice away from the screen, for example by printing the PDFs for offline practice.

The Checkie System is a simple progress tracker built into the DIY posters. Children can mark a checkie when they recognize a letter, sound, or sign after a parent. When they can do it independently, they can mark another checkie. This makes learning visible and helps children see their progress as they explore the alphabet.
