How to Use Your PDFs

Not tech-savvy? You're not alone. This page helps you set up a simple, stress-free way for your child to draw and learn in our PDFs.

Digital play & learning

Our PDFs are designed for interactive use in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader app. This app has features that make digital learning fun and engaging.

  • Draw and color directly on the page
  • Trace and color letters inside the PDF
  • Practice fine motor skills
  • Swipe easily between pages
  • Save and come back later

Works with:
✓ iPad and iPhone (Apple Pencil compatible)
✓ Android tablets/phones
✓ Mac & Windows computers

Other PDF apps may work, but Adobe Acrobat Reader gives the most reliable experience.

We recommend staying nearby while your child uses the app, just in case a pop-up or upgrade message appears.

Don't want to use an app?

You can print the PDFs and use them on paper. Please note: Our exercise PDFs are designed for full-screen digital use and don't include print margins. For best results, adjust your printer scaling to fit the page.

Tip for parents 💛

Before your child starts, read the short introduction inside the PDF for extra guidance.

Want to keep your child's work as a memory? Make a copy (see step 10 below) and name it after your child. That way you'll always have a clean version ready for next time or sibling crews.

Quick Start Guide

First, download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader app (53 MB)

For iPhone / iPad (iOS) → click here
For Android phones / tablets → click here

Step 1: Install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader app and open it.

When the app opens for the first time, you may see a sign-in screen like this. You can sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, or Adobe to continue. Signing in helps your child's drawings save automatically inside the PDF. The free version is enough.

Step 2: Stay on the free plan when Adobe offers a trial.

Tap "Continue" and choose the FREE plan by tapping: NOT NOW
⚠️ Do not tap the blue 7-day trial button.

Tap "On device" and allow Adobe permission to access files on your phone, tablet, or laptop. You may see this message: "Please provide permission to access your files in the settings."
Tap "In the settings".

You'll do this once. It helps Adobe find your downloaded PDFs.

Step 4: Turn on "Access all files" so Adobe can find your PDF downloads.

Tap "Go to settings" and turn access ON. This is safe. It only helps Adobe Acrobat Reader find the PDF files you downloaded on this device. After that, go back to the Adobe app.

Where is my PDF? After purchase, you'll receive immediate access to your materials in your Shopify account. In many cases, you'll also see a download button right after checkout and receive an email confirmation. If you download PDFs to your device, they are usually saved in your Downloads or Files folder.

FAQ

Adobe offers a 7-day trial — what should I tap?

Tap "Not Now" to stay on the free plan. The free version is enough for drawing and coloring in the Christian Kiddo PDFs.

The PDF doesn't open — what do I do?

Check whether Adobe Acrobat Reader has permission to access your files. On many devices, you may need to allow file access in your device settings.

I can see the PDF, but I can't draw or color.

Make sure the PDF is opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader — not in a browser preview (like Safari or Chrome) and not in another PDF app.

I want to print — but parts are cropped.

Adjust your printer scaling so the full page fits correctly (for example: Fit to page or Scale to fit). The exercise PDFs are designed for full-screen use, so printing may crop the edges if scaling is not adjusted. The other PDFs in the bundle are designed to print normally.
